European Projects Awards 2012

The first edition of the Awards Ceremony took place in Brussels on the 28th November 2012 in the premises of the European Economic and Social Committee and rewarded projects related to the civil society development and dedicated to structural reforms, to strengthen the democracy legitimacy and to promote a more actively engaged society.

European Projects Awards 2013

The second edition, which took place in Brussels the 6th of June 2013, was organized in partnership with the European Academy for Education and Social Research, Informo, and Research Media Ltd, with the cooperation of the Lodzkie Regional representation in Brussles, Communication Package, The Regional Review, and The Research Review. It was focused on ideas, ongoing and concluded projects in the two working groups “Research Innovation and Technology” and “Environment, Consumers and Health”.

European Projects Awards IPA

The third edition, took place at the European Parliament in Brussels the 7th of October 2013, was organized in collaboration with the European Academy for education and social research, Research Media, and The Regional Review and The Parliament (Dods), and rewarded the best ongoing and concluded projects in the framework of the IPA funds 2007-2013. During the Ceremony EPA were also rewarded the best actors in the regional and local development at European level.

European Projects Awards 2014

The fourth edition, took place in Brussels the 7th of June 2014 in the frame of the Festival of European Cities and Regions. This edition, organized in partnership with Association of Local Democracy Agencies (ALDA), was focused on individuals. It rewarded people who positively impacted our society by giving a great contribution in the European projects field during their career, or who contributed somehow to the development of this growing, constantly changing sector.

EUROPEAN PROJECTS AWARDS – IDEAS COMPETITION is an initiative part of the campaign “WHAT ARE YOU DOING ..for a better society?”.

It aims to give visibility and help the implementation of interesting project ideas that could positively impact communities, territories and sectors.

The competition is following the topics of MyEuropa platform, the online network created by EPA in cooperation with the European Academy for Education and Social Research, in order to gather the European projects stakeholders. The network is divided into 13 working groups shaped to cover all the economic and social sectors. Based on that, different competitions will be launched on the platform during the year, for projects belonging to different working groups each time:

Agriculture, fisheries and foods

Economy, finance and tax

Education, training, culture and youth

education
Justice

Employment and social affairs

Energy and natural resources

Enterprise and industry

Environment, consumers and health

External relations and foreign affairs

Information, communication and media

Justice, fundamental rights and home affaires

Regions and local development

Research, innovation and technology

Transport, tourism and travel

 
 

Everyone who has a valuable idea to develop that belongs to these categories is welcome to nominate it by filling in the application form and uploading the concept on MyEuropa.

How to submit your idea in 3 simple steps:

  1. Go to My-Europa.eu platform, login or register.
  2. Click “Promote” on the upper menu bar and choose “Projects”.
  3. Fill in the application form with your idea details and press “Create project” button.

A jury of experts will carefully consider the ideas submitted and choose a particularly challenging, interesting one. The ideas can be nominated as public so the community can interact with the proponent, or set as private so only the jury will be able to evaluate them.

EUROPEAN PROJECTS AWARDS – ONGOING PROJECTS COMPETITION is created to choose projects in the implementation phase that have the biggest impact on local/regional social, economic, environmental, technological or cultural policies.

The European Projects Awards is EPA’s way to reward the initiatives undertaken by individuals, private and public organizations which will serve as an encouraging example and innovative potential for the development of the European Union at every level. One of its objectives is to foster the development of even better projects by linking the partners, facilitating a long-term communication and improving the skills of the participants implementing a learning by doing methodology.

Through the awarding system, EPA will encourage its members to continue their practice of writing and implementing projects as an important instrument of development, gaining visibility in the project management community and finding partners in their area of interest for the future cooperation on European projects.
